Abstract

This study addresses the topic of strategic management in improving employees’ performance. It aims to identify the role of strategic management in enhancing the efficiency of employees’ performance within the Social Security Institution (Sorman) and to clarify the nature of the relationship between the dimensions of strategic management and the level of employees’ job performance.

The importance of the study lies in highlighting the strategic significance of strategic management as one of the modern administrative approaches that contributes to improving institutional performance, increasing employees’ efficiency, enhancing the institution’s ability to face challenges, and achieving its goals efficiently and effectively. It also opens new horizons for researchers and enriches their academic knowledge.

The research problem is represented in the weak application of strategic management in many institutions, which leads to a decline in employees’ efficiency and performance. This raises the main research question: What is the role of strategic management in improving employees’ performance? From this question, several sub-questions emerge.

The study also hypothesizes the existence of a statistically significant relationship between strategic management and the improvement of employees’ performance.

The study adopted the descriptive–analytical method (SPSS), and the questionnaire was used as the main tool for data collection.

The study population consisted of all employees of the institution, numbering (70). A random sample of (65) employees was selected, and questionnaires were distributed to them. The results of the study revealed a positive and statistically significant effect of strategic management on improving the performance of the Social Security Office in Sorman, showing a strong correlation between the application of strategic management and the enhancement of institutional performance efficiency.

The study recommends strengthening participatory management by involving employees in planning and decision-making processes, which contributes to improving performance and increasing the level of initiative and innovation within the office.
