Abstract

The study aimed to identify the relationship between management information systems (MIS) and improving the quality of health services at the Martyr Mohamed Al-Maqrif Central Teaching Hospital - Ajdabiya. The study followed a descriptive-analytical approach, and the researcher used a questionnaire as the primary tool for collecting field data. The study population consisted of (291) employees at the Martyr Mohamed Al-Maqrif Central Teaching Hospital - Ajdabiya. (285) valid questionnaires were collected for statistical analysis, representing (98%) of the total distributed questionnaires. The researcher also used some statistical methods included in the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) program to analyze field data. The study concluded with several results, the most important of which are: There is a strong, statistically significant, direct relationship between management information systems (MIS) in all their combined dimensions—software, networks, and human resources—and improving the quality of health services at the Martyr Mohamed Al-Maqrif Central Teaching Hospital - Ajdabiya. The study reached several recommendations, the most important of which are: Strengthening the role of MIS in improving the quality of health services, especially since the study demonstrated a strong, positive correlation between MIS and the quality of health services at the Martyr Mohamed Al-Maqrif Central Teaching Hospital - Ajdabiya. By distancing and improving the quality of health services at the Martyr Mohamed Al-Maqrif Central Teaching Hospital - Ajdabiya, as well as working to raise the level of software and networking, especially since the study results showed that their level was average. The scope of research should also be expanded to include topics related to administrative information systems and improving the quality of health services. In this regard, the researcher proposes the possibility of conducting the following studies: studying the role of administrative control in improving the quality of health services, and studying the impact of health service quality on crisis management.
