Background: Computed Tomography (CT) remains a cornerstone in cancer imaging due to its high level of detail, rapid image acquisition, and broad accessibility. However, the rapid progress in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Positron Emission Tomography (PET-CT) has significantly altered the field of cancer detection. This evolution underscores the necessity of continuously evaluating the current role of CT in clinical practice.
Objective: Objective: This research aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of CT scans in detecting tumors, determining their size, and staging metastases, compared to modern imaging techniques, from the perspective of expert healthcare professionals.
