Abstract

This research examines the supervisory functions of the pre-trial Chamber of the International Criminal Court and its role in ensuring the legality of proceedings, protecting international criminal justice. lt also highlights the main legal and practical challenges associated with the exercise of these functions, particularly those related to the assessment of international criminal responsibility and legal constraints on prosecution. The study adopts both analytical and descriptive approaches to examine the relevant legal provisions and their impact on proceedings before the court.
